Great for the money

Excellent sound quality. I was hoping it was going to be a little smaller. It is rather large for a mini, but the sound makes it worth a bit more size. I'd like to crank it up all the way, but I'm afraid my neighbors will call the police. The sound doesn't break up at all. If you like really loud, good quality sound, this one's for you.
(It's not huge, just bigger than I expected.)

I agree with all the previous reviewers - this unit is a very nice surprise! It's affordable, fits in any home, and most importantly, the sound quality is great. If you're looking for a good basic CD/radio unit, look no further. This one is music to my ears!
Excellent Home Stereo

Excellent product for the money! It is aesthetically appealing and the sound quality is great. It provides a great digital tuner and the CD player never skips a beat. It provides good sound quality along with the power you need for listening to music/radio within your home and in any room...even your kitchen. For the money, it is an excellent buy. The tuner picks up signals very well. My older stereo unit wouldn't pick up certain AM talk radio stations, but this unit does it very clear.
Falling in Love

We got the Sony yesterday for Christmas, and unpacked it right away. It is bigger than we expected, and we had to rearrange part of our living room to accommodate the player. It really is wonderful. The sound is surprising for a unit that sells in this price range. We like chamber music and we got it sounding right.
I read on some of the reviews posted here that the disc changer is loud. Give me a break. The changer does what it has to do without interfering. If your ears are so sensitive or your expectations so pure that the sound of a disc moving in a machine is going to upset your sensibilities then I don't know what you might really want. It's a bargain.
Sony mini-stereo

Review Date: October 27, 2007
Reviewer: Richard Rollo,
I recently purchased a Sony mini-stereo from Amazon.com and I am pleased with this little system.
It is small but it packs quite a punch at a very reasonable price.
If you want to hear your music and not spend a fortune then is it. This stereo cranks out the sound.
I don't hear well and I have a tendency to blow out speakers so I replaced the speakers that came with it with a pair of Technics speakers I had but the original speakers sounded great also. I wasn't sure if they could handle the volumn I like for long without blowing and I know the Technics can handle it.
I love mine and I can hear the music the way I want to.
